Winter is coming

Whistling wind tickles and makes me shiver
Leaves of Red,Gold and Brown
Falling,swirling,drifting down
Like confetti at  a party

The days grow cold,
Frosty and wet,
Winter is around the corner
But it's not here yet!

Crunchy grass, Frozen toes
But snow will fall

And freeze it all!

This is my poem by Hazel hope you enjoy.

  1. Hi Hazel

Fantastic descriptive words used in your poem. Well done.
I love the autumn leaves of many colours. Has to be one of my favourite seasons. Which would yours be?

  2. Kia ora Hazel, This is a beautiful description of Autumn. You have described the falling leaves perfectly. I am pleased that you used rhyming in a effective way because it can be tempting to put in words just for rhyme rather than meaning. I am glad Greymouth does not get heavy frosts or snow!
